Cubs sign Joe Nathan (Cubs/Astros WS Foreshadowing)

The Cubs have made an addition to their bullpen.  On 5/17/16 they signed closer Joe Nathan.

ESPN article headline: "Cubs sign former All-Star closer Joe Nathan"

Interestingly enough, Joe Nathan was born in Houston, Texas.  This could be a clue for a Cubs vs. Astros World Series.

The signing takes place on 5/17/16.

5/17/2016 = 5+17+20+16 = 58 (Nathan)
5/17/2016 = 5+17+2+0+1+6 = 31
5/17/2016 = 5+1+7+2+0+1+6 = 22 (Nathan)
5/17/16 = 5+17+16 = 38
5/17 = 5+17 = 22

Joe = 75, 30, 1180, 12,
Nathan = 310, 58, 348, 22,
Joe Nathan = 385, 88, 528, 34,
Joseph Michael Nathan = 659, 182, 1092, 83/92,

Notice how "Nathan" syncs up with the date numerology.
Nathan = 58, 22, 310 (31)

Born:
November 22, 1974 - Age 41
11/22/1974 = 11+22+19+74 = 126
11/22/1974 = 11+22+(1+9+7+4) = 54 (Baseball)
11/22/1974 = 1+1+2+2+1+9+7+4 = 27 (Baseball) (MLB)
11/22/74 = 11+22+74 = 107
11/22 = 11+22 = 33

Joe Nathan has fitting birth numerology for a baseball player.
Baseball = 27 in English Reduction (S exception)
Baseball = 54 in English Ordinal
MLB = 27 in English Gematria

Nathan last appeared in a Major League game on opening day in 2015 for the Detroit Tigers.  That game was on April 8, 2015.  He then went on the 15 day DL with a sore elbow.
During a rehab start with the Toledo Mud Hens on April 22, Nathan re-injured his elbow after throwing only 10 pitches. MRI's revealed he had ligament damage and would require Tommy John surgery.  Sources projected that this surgery could end Nathan's career, but he was not planning to retire yet.

Let's look at the distances between his last appearances and this signing.

From April 8, 2015 to May 17, 2016 is 406 days (including end date) or 1 year, 1 month, 10 days, or 58 weeks.
Chicago = 46
Chicago Cubs = 46
Nathan = 58
If you don't include the end date, it is 405 days.
Cubs = 405
Cubs = 45

From April 22, 2015 to May 17, 2016 is 392 days (including end date) or 1 year, 26 days, or 56 weeks.
Nathan has birth numerology of 126 like 1 year, 26 days.

The ESPN article states that Nathan had 260 saves and a 2.16 ERA in 7 seasons with the Minnesota Twins from 2004-2011.  Maybe the 2.16 ERA is a clue for 2016.

Joe Nathan has worn number 36 throughout his career for what it's worth.

We'll keep an eye on Nathan when he returns later in the season to see if more clues point to the Cubs vs. Astros projection.

Details of the deal quoted from ESPN:
The deal, announced Tuesday, is for the major league minimum $507,500 this year and gives the Cubs a $1.5 million option for next season. He has $100,000 in games bonuses for this year, $800,000 in games finished bonuses and $1.5 million in roster bonuses. In 2017, the bonus opportunities are $100,000 for games, $1.5 million for games finished and $2.5 million based on roster time.
If Nathan pitches in at least 30 games this year, has at least 75 days on the active major league roster and a medical exam determines he finishes the season uninjured, the option price would increase to $1.75 million and there would be a $125,000 buyout if it is declined. If he also has 30 games finished this year, it would become a $2 million mutual option and include a $250,000 buyout if the club declines.
