Nyquist Runs & Guns to Derby Victory

Nyquist out-executed Exaggerator and out-gunned Gun Runner on his way to a victory in the Kentucky Derby.  He had a perfect trip as he dashed the 1st leg of the Triple Crown.

Let's take a look at some of the numbers on Nyquist's win; as well as the horses who finished in 2nd and 3rd.

There are a ton of things that lined up for Nyquist to win, so I don't want to "beat a dead horse" by covering it again.  There were some new interesting things that I wanted to touch on.

A significant number on this horse and race is 99.  I don't think a lot has been said about it so let's explore further.

Nyquist = 909.
The jockey wears a purple and white uniform, but Nyquist wears a red piece on his bridle across his nose.  I was wondering what the significance of that was and I think I have the answer.  Why not have a purple piece to match the jockey?  Here's why:
Red = 99.
Red also equals 18, 27, 162, 89.  Maybe the red ties into "Reddam" Racing, the owner.
J. Paul Reddam (owner) was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
Canadian = 99
Nyquist started from the #13 post.  Thirteen = 99.
We are in the 99th year of NHL hockey.  Nyquist is named after Gustav Nyquist, a player on the Detroit Red Wings.  The horse even posed with the Stanley Cup before the race.
Red Wings = 99
Stanley Cup Champions = 99
Gustav Nyquist born September 1, 1989.
[9+1+89] = 99
48 is the date numerology for the Derby. [5+7+20+16] = 48
The 99th day of the year is April 8th (4/8) during a leap year.
So in that manner 48 = 99.
Ninety Nine = 57, like May 7th (5/7) the day of the Derby.
Boom goes the dynamite.

99 days before Nyquist's 3rd birthday of March 10 is December 2, 2015. This was the day of the San Bernardino shooting.

Couple more Gustav Nyquist connections.
Nyquist won the race with a time of 2:01:31.  The classic 131 relating to "championship".
2 minutes and 1 second is 121 seconds.
Gus Nyquist was drafted 121st overall in the 2008 draft.  Probably doesn't mean much because I think it would be hard to rig the exact time the horse got.

After winning the Derby, Nyquist is 8 for 8 and undefeated.
If he wins the Preakness he will be 9 for 9.  Given how important the 99 is on this horse it should be a stone cold lock for him to continue his win streak.
Dark Horse = 99

On to Exaggerator.

Exaggerator was 1188 days old on the Derby.
88 is a significant number, mostly in regards to Donald Trump.
Trump = 88.
Trainer: J Keith Desormeaux = 188
The One Hundred Forty Second Kentucky Derby = 188
That is also 3 years, 3 months, 3 days old; or 333.
333 connects to Philadelphia as this is the 333rd year of the City (10/27/1682).
There is some brotherly love involved as Exaggerator is trained and jockeyed by a pair of brothers: Desormeaux.
I recall the TV broadcast mentioning that there are 3 jockeys with 3 previous Kentucky Derby wins each.
Kent Desormeaux, Gary Stevens, and Victor Espinoza.

Jockey Kent Desormeaux born February 27, 1970.
[2+27+70] = 99
He has a 99 connection like Nyquist.
"Second place Kentucky Derby" = 99

Owned by Big Chief Racing.
Big Cheif Racing LLC = 128
Derby was on the 128th day of the year.

Second = 360
Exaggerator born the 36th day of the year.

Exaggerator ran from post 11.
Exagggerator = 121 which is 11 squared.

There wasn't an overwhelming amount of evidence to predict Exaggerator getting 2nd place in advance of the race. But nonetheless, he has some good connections.

Now for Gun Runner.

The most significant number on this horse is 51.
Here's why that matters for Gun Runner:
Third Place = 51

Gun Runner = 51
Gun Runner had 151 qualifying points entering the Derby, the most of any horse in the field.
The trainer of Gun Runner is Steven M. Asmussen.
Steven = 510
Gun Runner's sire is Quiet Giant.
Quiet Giant = 51
May Seventh = 51

Currently 51 is a big number on Cleveland, Lebron James, and the Cavaliers.
Perhaps Gun Runner getting 3rd place is a tribute for Lebron to get his 3rd NBA Title.
Cleveland = 51. Lebron James = 51. Cleveland Cavs = 51. Quicken Loans = 51. NBA Champion = 51.
Cleveland hasn't won a sports championship in 51 years.
Fifty One = 46. Cavs in their 46th season.

Next football season will be Superbowl 51.

More 51 Connections for good measure:
Conspiracy / Freemason / Zionism / Houston Astros

Upcoming I will make an article for the Preakness... Stay tuned.

  1. Looking forward to it! Great work.

  2. 99 days after the derby (5/7) is 8/13/16 including the end date.

    8+13+16=37. 99 days is 3 months 7 days.

    If you add the 20 in 2016,
    8+13+20+16=57 like 5/7 the date the race was on.

    August Thirteenth=216

    1. August Thirteenth=72 reduced. Like the reflection of 27. Red=27

    2. Nice combo there! 99 days before the Preakness is February 12, which was the 1st day of Lupercalia. It also is 14 weeks 1 day; and this is the 141st Preakness.

    3. Nice catch. One more note: Wings=27/72. As in Red Wings
